Song of the Day: Thank You
Thank You by Led Zeppelin. Thank You appeared on Led Zeppelin ll in 1969. The interesting tidbit about Thank You is that it’s the first song that Robert Plant wrote all the lyrics for. And after Plant wrote Thank You, which was a tribute song to his wife Maureen, Plant began to take on bigger role in writing the majority of the lyrics for the band. While it may not even be close to one of the band’s more popular songs, that’s more of a testament to Zeppelin because this is still a very good song. Also I’m a huge fan of the organ by John Paul Jones on this song as well.
