Song of the Day: Sound of Madness

Happy Friday! Today’s song is a 2009 single by Shinedown called, “Sound of Madness”. This single peaked at #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and help solidify Shinedown in Rock N Roll history as the first band to have their first 10 singles to make top 5 on that chart. To me, the song speaks about how you should seize the day. You can blame all the bad things happening around you on other people or things…but in the end, you ultimately have to fend for yourself and help make the situation better. The beginning of the song has a nice, heavy rhythm and is full of adrenaline filled beats and vocals. Entitlement can be a dangerous thing, and at the moment you take the foot of the gas and think the world owes you something…is the moment you cut this song on and keep digging!
