NASCAR Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 DFS Preview

The NASCAR Cup Series is heading to the oldest track on the circuit…Martinsville Speedway for the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500. The “paperclip” always produces great, close racing as it is only 1/2 mile in distance and requires great braking skills. In terms of past performance, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney are some of the best, averaging a 10th place finish. The last winner here was Chase Elliott in 2020. Martin Truex Jr is the favorite to win at 5/1. My choice would be Kyle Busch at 11/1. I do believe that Rowdy is starting to turn a corner and this is one of his best performing tracks. It wasn't that long ago when I remember Martin Truex Jr getting his 1st short track win, so it is kind of hard to go with him in terms of odds. We are racing under the lights this time, so maybe we have higher speeds here. Best of luck to you this weekend!
