Rock And Roll, Hoochie Koo by Rick Derringer. One of the songs in the soundtrack to the all-time move, Dazed And Confused. Dazed is probably the first time I heard this song and what a great song it is. The song was originally wrote and in 1970 by Johnny Winter and his band, which included Rick Derringer on lead guitar. Then in 1973, Derringer recorded a solo version of the song which made the top 40 charts. It was the only top 40 hit that Derringer had in his solo career, but who cares. Rock And Roll, Hoochie Koo is a staple of rock and roll and classic rock radio.
