Song of the Day: Papa Was a Rolling Stone

Originally released in May 1972 by The Undisputed Truth, “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” was covered by the Temptations and released in September later that year, and took off to become a massive hit for the best Motown group of all time. The Temptations version shot to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won the group three Grammy awards in 1973.
