Song of the Day: Cocaine Blues

We’ve featured some songs on this album before, but never this song. Cocaine Blues was originally written and performed by the folk pioneer Woody Guthrie in 1944. Then in 1968, Johnny Cash recorded it and the lyrics were slightly altered in his Folsom Prison recording. I personally like Cash’s version better and the guitar is more prominent rather than just hearing the story being told. I’ll let you listen to both right here. I hope you all have a great day today.
