Song of the Day: Nashville Cats

Happy Friday everyone! How about some Nashville music today?!?! I was browsing YouTube for some older Bluegrass stuff and even though this one isn’t very old, I found the Del McCoury Band doing a song called, “Nashville Cats”. The original song was released by The Lovin’ Spoonful, a Rock band popular in the 1960’s from New York. If you listen to the words, it talks about all of the talented musicians and people in Nashville. It was released in 1966 by The Lovin’ Spoonful on their Hums of the Lovin’ Spoonful album and written by John Sebastian their lead singer. I will feature it as well as the Del McCoury Band version. It’s pretty catchy and has a nice flow to it. I hope you enjoy it and have a great July weekend folks!
