Song of the Day: Running on Empty

Happy Monday morning everyone! Today’s song of the day is Running on Empty by Jackson Browne. It was released in 1978 and was written by Browne while driving to the recording studio repeatedly. And it was inspired by exactly what you might think of: driving around in a car with the tank nearly empty. Browne told Rolling Stone magazine at one point that he was always driving around with no gas in the car. This was also the theme song for Forrest Gump as he made his running journey throughout he United States.
