Song of the Day: The Ballad of Curtis Loew

One of my favorite songs from my favorite band, “The Ballad of Curtis Loew” was released on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s second album, titled Second Helping in 1974. As good of a song as it is, the original Lynyrd Skynyrd members only played it on stage one time. The song is not based on one individual person, but instead based on several folks that singer Ronnie Van Zant grew up around in his neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida. Have a great Wednesday!
