Best Bets of the Day (March 12th)
We’re moving along to Day 2 of legalized sports betting in NC. Opening Day didn’t go quite as planned, but we didn’t leave the day empty-handed. I should’ve gone with the JMU Spread, but it is history now. Also, what in the world happened to the Bruins? They got demolished! Again, that is history and today is a new day. Today, I have 3 great bets for you today, so let’s dive right in.
- Atlantic 10 Championship (1st Round) 11:30am
Davidson (-4; -105) over Fordham
We have an early matchup for you right here with Davidson and Fordham in the opening round of the A10 Championship. Davidson has been on a bit of a skid here, but I am confident that they will turn things around against Fordham. In their two regular season matchups this season, Davidson won both by margins of 15 and 10. Neither team will light it up, but I expect Davidson to win fairly easily. Davidson is a more efficient team and they turn the ball over at a lower rate. Give me Davidson today on a neutral court.
- NHL Regular Season 8pm
Minnesota Wild (-1.5) (+124) over Arizona Coyotes
The Wild have been scoring goals at a high rate and they’re 12-6-2 in their last 20 contests. The Coyotes on the other hand haven’t been so fortunate. Arizona has only won 4 games in the last 20. Also, the Wild have beaten the Coyotes by the puck line in their last two meetings. Also, with the way Kirill Kaprizov has been finding the net, I wouldn't be afraid to take a chance on an anytime score for him tonight. It will essentially double your bet. I think the Wild puck line is a safe underdog bet tonight.
- NBA Regular Season 10pm
Los Angeles Clippers (-7) (-110) over Minnesota Timberwolves
With the T’Wolves missing Karl-Anthony Towns in their lineup, they will be short-staffed for tonight’s road matchup against the Clippers. When completely healthy, both teams are pretty even. Both teams are fighting for the highest seed possible and to be fair, I don’t think it would far-fetched to say that either team could lead the West at the end of the season. Now, this could be a risky play, but I think the Clippers win if both Leonard and George play tonight. As a counter-balance, Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert are questionable as well. So, this one may be worth keeping an eye on.
Davidson (-4); Minnesota Wild (-1.5); LA Clippers (-6.5)
3-Bet Parlay: +727
Now, this is a pretty juicy 3-bet parlay for tonight. The lines shifted in my favor for the Clippers bet when I placed the parlay. If the parlay doesn’t land, I don’t think it will be an issue. I really like the first two bets. We’ll see how it unfolds tonight and good luck with all your betting ventures on this Tuesday!
