Best Bets of the Day (March 13th)
Again, today is a new day. That is all I am going to say. Well, not exactly. I have more to say. I couldn’t have had much worse luck in my picks for yesterday. Davidson blew a 13-point lead in the 2nd half and the Clippers told that bet to “hold my beer” blowing a 22-point lead and getting beat by 18! How does this happen. On the bright side, The Wild puck line was a winner and I snuck in a bonus bet with Kirill Kaprizov anytime goal. He ended up scoring two last night. Too bad, I didn’t play that bet... I don’t love many bet opportunities today, so bear with me. However, I think I have some good ones for you. Well, I hope so at least!
- Big 12 Tournament 2nd Round
UCF (+5.5) (-112) vs. BYU
I love this pick. For starters, UCF got a warm up game yesterday and that can be beneficial for them. They defeated Oklahoma State very easily and I wouldn't be shocked if they pull off an upset today against BYU at a neutral site. I’m not gonna go ML today though, but what I will do is take the 5.5 points. If UCF doesn’t win, I definitely think it will be a close contest. In the two matchups with these two teams, BYU won both, however, only by margins of 5 and 2 points. I feel safe picking UCF today against the spread.
- NHL Regular Season: Player Prop
Roman Josi Over: 0.5 points vs. Winnipeg Jets (-135)
In the last game against the Preds division foe, Roman Josi was the star of the show. He finished with 3 points. I think it is safe to say that he can do something similar again. If not, I think he definitely has at least one point in him tonight. The Jets and Predators are both playing excellent hockey right now and regardless of this prop’s outcome, it should be a fantastic game.
- NHL Regular Season
Edmonton Oilers (-1.5) (-112) over Washington Capitals
The Oilers are way back into the groove of things and the Caps are a hit or miss kind of team. Mostly miss these days, but I digress. The Oilers should have absolutely no issue tonight with the Caps at home I shouldn’t dump on the Caps so hard, because they are actually playing decent right now and they’re only 3 points from the playoff cutline. With that being said, the Oilers have one of, if not, the scariest attack in the NHL with one of the best Power Play units in the league. The Oilers should win by at least 2 tonight and secure a puck line victory.
- UCF (+5.5); Roman Josi (Over 0.5 pts.); Oilers (-1.5)
3-Bet Parlay: +534
If you pile up the 3 bets above that leaves you with this nice parlay. Hopefully they all can hit tonight for you! I’m pretty optimistic that it will. All I am asking for is that we get past the first leg of the parlay for the first time. Happy and safe betting tonight and please, gamble responsibly.
